FORT WORTH – In an election that is still almost a year away, Fort Worth City Council candidate Dr. Jared Williams has demonstrated early success. Since announcing his candidacy for Fort Worth City Council District 6 a week ago, Dr. Williams is rapidly growing support and has raised over $13,000 in campaign contributions.
“I am honored that so many people have come forward and supported this campaign. I believe that the amazing support we have received demonstrates the power of everyday people coming together around a common cause for solutions in our community. This type of support so early in a campaign makes it clear that change is on its way to Fort Worth” expressed Dr. Williams.
Since announcing his candidacy for Fort Worth City Council District 6 on July 21, Dr. Williams has received over 91 individual contributions and raised over $13,000. The average contribution to-date in support of the campaign is $147.94.
“I believe that our message is resonating with people because of my proven record as a problem solver in our community. I was raised in this community and I am deeply invested in building coalitions to address the many serious issues that families in our city face. Unfortunately, these challenges are not new. People are tired of elected officials in Fort Worth who can only offer to study an issue and never offer or implement a solution. From economic opportunity to the health of all our communities, Fort Worth residents have yet to see their deepest core values realized and feel unheard by idle leadership in our city. We all know the problems, but who will provide us with real solutions? I look forward to continuing to engage with people in conversations where they live, work, and worship to discover people-inspired solutions that expand opportunity to more Fort Worth residents and visitors” said Dr. Williams.
